I found a chair that I was really interested in - This is called the Vitra Tip ton chair by Jay Ogersby and Edward Barber. The picture here I think is really clever and I would like to try and do this with some of my pictures from my mechanism as it illustrates the movement really well.

I have screwed on the support straps for the guide to be attached to and the dowel to run through. this is some pictured to show it.

I have come to the point in the project where everything is comng together. The cams have been CNC cut so that they are perfectly round and are the correct size for the boxes to be lifted.

Once the cams have been painted the mechanism can be bolted onto the table securely.

So I have made the boxes for both the tables, I have primed them and they are ready to be sprayed. Here is one of the colours that one of the cam and boxes is going to be sprayed....

I have used the CNC machine to cut these square 10.2 X 10.2cm out so that the boxes can be pushed out, in a way that is smooth because of the accuracy of the cut.  The box here is the one that I will be using for the side table with the perspex top. That is why there is no lid.
